1. Group by time and place1. 시간과 장소로 묶기
Capture time and GPS metadata already stored in each photo draw the first boundaries between events. 사진에 이미 들어 있는 촬영 시각과 GPS 정보로 사건의 경계를 먼저 나눕니다.
2. Compare what's in the frame2. 화면 속 내용 비교
Apple's Vision framework generates a feature print per photo. Similarity is measured between those, never by sending images anywhere. Vision 프레임워크가 사진마다 특징값을 만들고, 그 값끼리만 비교합니다. 이미지를 어디로도 보내지 않습니다.
3. Pick the keeper3. 남길 사진 고르기
Sharpness, exposure and face-capture-quality decide which frame in a group is worth keeping — eyes open beats eyes closed. 선명도·노출·얼굴 촬영 품질을 따져 그룹에서 남길 한 장을 고릅니다. 눈 감은 사진보다 눈 뜬 사진이 우선입니다.
4. Clear, with a safety net4. 안전장치를 거쳐 정리
Cleared photos wait in an in-app trash. The final deletion goes through the system Photos confirmation, so nothing vanishes by accident. 정리한 사진은 앱 휴지통에 먼저 머무릅니다. 최종 삭제는 iOS 사진 앱의 확인 절차를 거치므로 실수로 사라지지 않습니다.
Why on-device matters왜 온디바이스인가
Most cleanup apps ask you to upload your library to a server to find duplicates. For something as personal as a camera roll, that trade never made sense — so PhotoClear does the whole pipeline locally. 대부분의 정리 앱은 중복 사진을 찾겠다며 라이브러리 전체를 서버에 올리라고 합니다. 카메라 롤만큼 사적인 것을 그렇게 넘기는 건 납득하기 어려웠고, 그래서 포토클리어는 전 과정을 기기 안에서 처리합니다.

Apple's built-in feature finds copies that are byte-for-byte identical. PhotoClear finds photos that are similar but not the same — the six shots you took of one view — and recommends which one to keep. iOS 기본 기능은 완전히 동일한 사본만 찾습니다. 포토클리어는 비슷하지만 서로 다른 사진 — 한 장면을 여섯 번 찍은 것들 — 을 묶고 그중 남길 사진을 추천합니다.
Can it delete something without asking?모르는 사이에 삭제될 수도 있나요?
No. Photos pass through an in-app trash first, and the actual removal uses the system Photos confirmation dialog. Two steps, both visible. 아닙니다. 사진은 먼저 앱 휴지통을 거치고, 실제 삭제는 iOS 사진 앱의 확인 창을 통해 이루어집니다. 두 단계 모두 눈에 보입니다.
What does it cost?가격은 어떻게 되나요?
Free with ads. A single one-time purchase removes the ads and unlocks bulk cleanup. There is no subscription — this is a tool you reach for a few times a year, and billing monthly for that never felt right. 무료이며 광고가 있습니다. 일회성 결제로 광고를 없애고 대량 정리를 사용할 수 있습니다. 구독은 없습니다. 일 년에 몇 번 쓰는 도구에 매달 요금을 받는 건 맞지 않다고 생각했습니다.
